The Camping and Caravanning Club are making a number of changes to their sites. The Camping and Caravanning Club have announced they are aiming to reopen a majority of campsites from July 4. An extensive list of social distancing measures have been introduced, however they can only open toilet and shower facilities if they get the go-ahead from the government. In a statement on their website, the company said: “At the current time we plan to open the majority of Club Sites, including as many as possible with toilet block facilities. Some campsites however, will open without toilets and showers. The organisation has said they will be first welcoming guests in England from July 4, and then in Scotland from July 15, and later in Wales and Northern Ireland. The statement added: “Being in the fresh air, the physical space between pitches and with additional social distancing measures, we believe that we are well-placed to offer you a safe, enjoyable UK holiday, providing a much-needed break away from home. The organisation manages a site in Blackpool South and another in Southport – both of which will reopen next month.
In order to keep in line with coronavirus guidelines, the organisation has revealed an extensive list of social distancing measures which have been introduced. The club has also confirmed that it can only open toilet and shower facilities if it gets the green-light from the Government.
The Caravan and Motorhome Club previously announced campsites in Scotland would open on the 15 July, but they have now revised that date.

The Caravan and Motorhome Club has released a list of its campsites that will be reopening on July 4. The organisation, which has around , members, has been busy preparing its sites for when the Government gives the green light to reopen.
The club is planning a phased reopening starting with campsites in England and Scotland to ensure they are adapted to the new social distancing and safety requirements set out by the UK government. They have also introduced strict new measures aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus and all campsites will be operating to COVID Secure guidelines.

The manager of a North Queensland caravan park says the last few days have been incredibly stressful after the State Government unexpectedly brought forward the further easing of coronavirus restrictions. From midday on Monday of this week, Queenslanders are free to move around the state, with the exclusion of Indigenous communities. While the chance to reopen is welcome news for many tourism operators, it has caught many off-guard. For caravan park operators in North Queensland, winter is peak season, with travellers heading north to escape the cold in southern states.
